FRESHFARM's food education program in partnership with DC Public Schools

FoodPrints is an education project of FRESHFARM that integrates gardening, cooking, and nutrition education into the curriculum at partner elementary schools. Watch the FoodPrints video to see our program in action.

Support FoodPrints

FoodPrints relies on generous financial support of individual donors, foundations, District of Columbia funding and grants, generous PTA contributions at our partner schools, and FRESHFARM partners. Support from our school communities, along with interns and volunteers, provide invaluable support for FoodPrints teachers in the classroom.

All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to support and grow this vital program.

If you're a parent at one our partner schools, you can sign up to volunteer in your child's FoodPrints lessons by contacting your child's teacher. If you want to volunteer outside your child's lessons (in other classes, in the garden, etc), or if you're a community member looking to get involved, complete the form below.

To be able to see where food comes from; to feel it, smell it, work with it, taste it while it’s at its freshest; and then to share that knowledge is not merely healthy, but a real joy.
