Hard Work Rewarded - by Christy Przystawik

At this point in the school year most of us FoodPrints teachers have had much success in raising the level enthusiasm around healthy eating. In early childhood you will typically find that once a child has thoroughly enjoyed a food the next question they ask is whether or not they can bring some home to share with the family. This past week, thanks to our abundant lettuce harvest, 50 Peabody children harvested, washed, bagged, and took home a quart of lettuce to share. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to really reap the benefits of all their hard work. After all, who is more deserving of this bounty?

Students proudly show off their garden bounty!
